The UDI 818A-1 is a tough little drone that is easy to fly, resilient enough to hold up fairly well for a beginner learning to fly (and crash) and is cheap enough that you won’t be absolutely devasted in the event of a catastrophic mishap. The UDI U818A-1 is a lot of fun to fly. It is easy to set up, comes completely assembled in the box and ready to fly after fully charging the battery (about 2 hours), and the controls are simple enough to start enjoying it immediately. It has a four-loop style frame that protects the large rotors in the event of a crash, and the rotors are cheap enough and easy to replace if they get damaged. This quadcopter is flies well, has a great range of features for the price, and is great for learning on and getting used to the controls. The U818A controller is nice for the price and is equipped with an LCD monitor for on-screen menu display and FPV capabilities. The flight time on a fully charged battery isn’t so great (only 7-9 minutes), but the batteries are swappable, so you can have extra charged batteries on-hand to keep flying. This lightweight quadcopter also has the capability to perform limited stunts such as a 360° inversion flip, but it is not recommened until you are more experienced. The U818A comes with a camera, and the newest models have an improved an HD camera and are capable of storing videos and hundreds of pictures on the 1 Gig SD card.
